Third Wave CBT Therapies
Over the past decade or so, several psychological therapies have emerged which come under the broad umbrella of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy but have some quite different theoretical underpinnings.
While these approaches are varied, most include the technique or mindfulness, and most embrace the concept of “acceptance”.
Some of these approaches include:
* Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
* Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
* Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
